Download the archive file soloprogramming_x.x.x.zip, and save it to your hard disk. Unzip the archive file to the plugins directory in your Eclipse installation. This should create a directory called jp.azzurri.eclipse.soloprogramming_x.x.x in the plugins directory. The plug-in is now installed. If Eclipse is already running, your should exit Eclipse and restart it. The plug-in will be picked up when you restart Eclipse.

Usage

You have started Eclipse. If you did not install the plug-in, first finish the installation and then restart Eclipse.

The plug-in will not be visible at first. From the Eclipse menu, choose Window > Show View > Other... You will see a list of available views similar to the image below. Open "Pair Programming" and select "Virtual Pair Programmer".

You should now see the Virtual Pair Programmer view displayed in the View area as in the image below. Click the view any time you would like some feedback from your partner. The first time you use the plug-in, your virtual pair programming partner will be XP expert "Birdie". You are now ready to create software of shockingly good quality and have fun at the same time with your partner Birdie! Welcome to the world of pair programming!
